Swarup Kumar, Managing Partner of Kumar & Sardana Associates (KSA) was recently elected as the Deputy Secretary General (DSG) of FICPI, the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys during the FICPI World Congress held in Cannes. He is the first ever Indian IP Attorney to make it to the FICPI Bureau since it was found in 1906. FICPI toady has over 5000 members from almost 80 jurisdictions.
FICPI is the only international NGO whose membership consists entirely of IP attorneys in private practice. The FICPI global community is driven by a shared interest among like-minded people to promote common solutions and advocacy for private practice. The FICPI business family makes the world a little bit smaller, bringing independent IP attorneys from around the globe together to connect, share knowledge and grow.
Swarup has been member of FICPI since long and was one of the founder members of its Indian Chapter. He is also the Secretary of FICPI-India.
In his capacity as the DSG, Swarup coordinates with many IP Offices for meetings and lobbying interest of FICPI members and IP community in general.
